Gregory A. Broiles  

Gregory A. Broiles is a California attorney in private practice in San Jose, California.  He is the founder and managing partner of Legacy Planning Law Group.  He maintains the highest level of knowledge and expertise through ongoing continuing education and frequent attendance at nationally recognized conferences on advanced planning topics.

Greg is a member of the California State Bar, the American Bar Association, the Santa Clara County Bar Association, the Silicon Valley Bar Association, the National Committee to Prevent Elder Abuse, the National Association of Enrolled Agents, and the California Society of Enrolled Agents.

Greg is an enthusiastic participant in WealthCounsel, a nationwide consortium of estate planning attorneys dedicated to building and maintaining proficiency in the technical and practical aspects of estate planning. He is a charter member of the WealthCounsel Advisors Forum, an allied organization seeking to build and enhance relationships between lawyers, tax professionals, and financial planners to better serve their common client base.

Greg is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).  The members of this organization are the premier providers of legal advocacy, guidance and services to enhance the lives of people with special needs and people as they age.

Greg has a B.A. from the Johnston Center at the University of Redlands. He attended law school at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon and earned a LL.M. in Taxation with honors at Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco.  He is also an Enrolled Agent admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.

Greg has been a resident of the Bay Area for the past 10 years.  Greg and his wife, Sylvia, own a home in San Jose that they share with their two cocker spaniels.  In his free time, Greg enjoys reading, computer networking projects and exploring the outdoors in the beautiful Bay Area.

Sylvia Seroff-Broiles

Sylvia is Director of Operations for Legacy Planning Law Group.  She brings a broad experience base in both the legal field and business management to Legacy Planning Law Group.  Her previous position was as Senior Manager in the Patent Development department at Johnson & Johnson, a Fortune 100 company.  In her 15 years with J&J, Sylvia was responsible for developing and patenting new technologies.  Sylvia is a registered United States Patent Agent, and she has experience in legal research and document drafting.

After working in a legal capacity in the patent field for several years, Sylvia joined Greg in the family law practice in 2006.  She leads the marketing efforts for Legacy Planning Law Group, and also assists clients with transferring assets to and administering their trusts.  She really enjoys working with people and she will ensure that your experience with Legacy Planning Law Group is pleasant and efficient.

Sylvia is a native of Santa Clara County and graduated from Prospect High School in Saratoga.  She received her B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University.  In her free time, Sylvia enjoys movies, spending time with her family and taking her dogs out for adventures.
